Westmeath Vet Warns Pet Owners Of Chocolate Danger

She says dogs struggle to metabolise it.

A Westmeath vet is warning pet owners to be aware of food that may be toxic to their pets this Easter.

A new poll from Dogs Trust revealed that while half of owners admit their dogs had eaten chocolate, 30% did not contact their vet.

Chocolate contains theobromine, a chemical that dogs struggle to metabolise.
