ESB crews are working to restore electricity to thousands of homes across the midlands.
Almost 20,000 homes, businesses, and farms remain without power across the midlands after Storm Eowyn.
Westmeath is the worst affected county, with 13,079 faults yet to be repaired.
5,581 are waiting to be reconnected in Offaly, while the figure in Laois is 459.
The ESB say the storm caused "unprecedented, widespread and extensive damage to electricity infrastructure".
Many premises in the region will be without power until next week with restoration times of January 29th and 30th being given for some faults in Westmeath.
The State body is asking the public to be conscious of the dangers posed by fallen wires while the clean up operation continues.
An Important Public Safety Message: If you come across fallen wires, low-hanging wires, or any damage to the electricity network, do not touch or approach them as they are live and extremely dangerous. Report it by calling 1800 372 999.#StaySafe #StayClear pic.twitter.com/XB1HW4K6f8

The power outages have also damaged Uisce Eireann's water supply system.
Customers in Daingean, Rhode and Walsh Island are still experiencing disruption to their water supply.
Tankers are in place at the old fire station on the Square in Daingean, at the community Hall, Mount Lucas Road, Rhode Village and outside Hoppers Bar, Walsh Island today (Saturday).
Homes and businesses in Westmeath and Laois have also been affected over the course of the last 24 hours with Uisce Eireann yesterday asking Westmeath customers to conserve water where they can.
