A solution will need to be figured out before considering a ban on peat briquettes.

That's according to the Tánaiste, who's been reacting to the Environment Minister's indication that briquettes could be included in the proposed smoky fuels ban.

Leo Varadkar says, as a doctor, he's aware of the negative effects burning smoky fuels can have an public health.
