Plans were first lodged in Summer 2019.
A planning appeal for a Chinese backed meat plant in Offaly has been reactivated by An Bord Pleanála.
Plans were first lodged in July 2019 by Banagher Chilling Limited for a single story extension to the existing abattoir.
Offaly County Council granted planning permission a year later, with An Bord Pleanála giving it the green light in June 2022.
The decision was then quashed in the High Court in February of this year, after a challenge on environmental grounds by co-appellants Desmond Kampff and Gwen Wordingham.
A fresh decision on the reopened appeal is due on August 19th.
