The main focus is set to be around heritage at risk.
Heritage Week returns to the Midlands tomorrow with the theme "Heritage at Risk."
The National Heritage Council will oversee over 200 events across Laois, Offaly and Westmeath from Saturday until August 23rd.
This year's theme invites people to reflect on why heritage is at risk, and how they can respond with care and creative responsibility.
Plenty is on the agenda in Laois, such as Social Historian Dr Melissa Shiels showcasing the life of a Georgian era lady at Mountmellick Library on August 21st.
Portarlington Arts & Heritage Group and the Portarlington Community Development Association will host a presentation by the Irish Peatland Conservation Council on the future of Irish bogs with a special emphasis on the locality.
That takes place on August 19th at 7:30pm.
In Offaly, the Shinrone Heritage Group are offering a journey through Music, Memory and the Irish Country House at the Cloughmoyle School House on August 22nd.
Offaly History Centre will hold a musical celebration of the Brontes at Offaly History Centre in Tullamore's Bury Quay on Saturday at 2:30pm.
They'll also host an exhibition on the history of Tullamore and the county through Distillery and Brewing from August 21st to the 23rd.
While in Westmeath, Athlone Castle host a Live Chess Battle Between the Connacht and Leinster Sides of Athlone.
Athlone Little Theatre hosts its 90th anniversary exhibit on August 17th.
