A new apartment complex in the midlands has been given the go ahead.
The project will be located on the Davitt Road in Mountmellick and will see 36 units built following the demolition of an existing buidling.
It'll take the form of eight two-storey blocks.
That's despite 12 submissions from locals - with their concerns including the proximity of the development to two primary schools and other homes in the area, and part of the proposed project being within a flood risk zone.
