TD's and Councillors in Laois are objecting to five land parcels being erected in Laois.
Plans for a 600 acre Midlands solar farm are being appealed.
The project, which would see 1.7 million square metres of solar panels erected across five land parcels in Laois, was granted conditional approval by the county council last month.
Laois Councillors Aisling Moran and Aidan Mullins, along with TD Brian Stanley were among a large number of submissions appealing to original plans.
Objectors cited the scale of the proposal, potential environmental issues, the visual impact, and the likelihood of glare and glint from the development.
The works will include underground power and communication cables and ducts, along with over 22,000 metres of boundary security fencing.
