Almost €500k was provided across the midlands last year.
Protected structure projects across the Midlands are set to benefit from Government funding.
The Historic Structures Fund has reopened for 2026 which will support the repair, maintenance, and rejuvenation of historic structures in all Local Authority areas.
Over €480,000 was awarded to projects across the region last year - with the biggest amount of €200,000 going to Donaghmore Workhouse in Laois.
Hill Street House in Cloghan received over €85,880 and a combined €194,200 was spread out between Moate's Railway Footbridge and for Athlone's Church Street and Lloyd's Lane.
Properties will only qualify if they're registered as a protective structure, with grants up to €200,000 available.
