Body Of Man Found In River Shannon After Two Week Search

Athlone sub Aqua club had been leading the mission along with RNLI and local services

The body of a man who was reported entering the river Shannon eleven days ago has been found. 

It's believed the man in questions was in his thirties. 

Athlone sub aqua club - who have been co-ordinating the search made the discovery at around 8pm yesterday evening.

The body was found by volunteers less than a kilometre from the Weir wall.
