A Westmeath councillor feels it will improve the look of the town.
A Westmeath councillor wants buildings in Mullingar to be painted before the town hosts the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann next year.
Fine Gael's Andrew Duncan says the majority of premises are in good condition, however, there are a few that let down the rest of the town.
He's asking the local authority to act immediately.
