They're seeking clarity and assurances on three fronts.
Childcare representative body Seas Suas is writing to the Children's Minister seeking clarity for independent providers.
They're looking for answers surrounding the re-opening of the sector on February 1st, public health criteria that will apply to those opening their doors and assurances of funding.
It's Chairperson Regina Bushall - who's also managing director of Grovelands Childcare in Athlone, Tullamore and Mullingar - penned the letter.
She says members have undergone testing and want to return to work:
