A new children's book by a Mullingar author and illustrator is set to teach primary school children across the midlands the importance of biodiversity.
'The Lions, the Bees and the Bogs' tells the story of a bee's adventure with a lion on a bog in the heartland of Ireland.
The concept for the book was brought by Tullamore Lions Club member John Lyons to author Dolores Keaveney following the Lions conversation efforts in Clonbeale.
The project took about three months overall to illustrate.
