The first of the events gets underway this evening!
Two midlands towns are getting in the festive spirit this weekend, by switching on the Christmas Lights!
Santa will be on-site for the event in Mullingar, which kicks off in Market Square this evening at 5.30pm.
Music will be on offer from Kathryn Nea, and the Mullingar Art Centre Panto crew will also be joining in the festivities.
The lights will also be switched on this Sunday in Athlone, with the event getting underway in the Civic Square at 4pm.
Christmas Carols will be sang by St Mary's National School, and BowTie will be performing live!
