Portlaoise Action for Homeless is hosting the collection at 6pm today at Laois Shopping Centre.

A Laois homelessness action group is holding a collection and clean drive today with abandoned sleeping bags from Electric Picnic.

Portlaoise Action for Homeless collected over 1,500 sleeping bags from this year's festival to donate among the homeless in the county and Dublin.

The collection point is at Laois Shopping Centre at 6pm.

They're asked to clean and dry the bags and return them to the same spot at 6:30 next Thursday.
