Committee To Discuss Effect Weather Has Had On Farmers

Minister McConalogue will address the issue when the committee gathers this week.

The National Fodder and Food Security Committee will convene this week to discuss the effect prolonged weather difficulties have had on farms.

It follows a call from the IFA for the Government to to provide a co-ordinated response to support farmers, who say they've experienced seven months of winter.

The issue will be addressed when Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue gathers the Committee.
