"Covid-19 Took My Method Of Communication Away"

Michaela Hogg from Mullingar has been speaking out about being partially deaf during the pandemic.

A Westmeath musician with partial deafness says covid-19 took her method of communication away from her. 

Michaela Hogg suffers from a 30% loss of hearing and relies on lip reading to converse with others. 

However covid-19 protocols including facemasks and perspex windows have made things increasingly difficult in the last 12 months. 

The Mullingar woman is hoping to raise awareness of the ongoing issue:
