A planning application for the facility has been delayed after planners asked for more information.
Campaigners for the Midlands Hospice say they want to see progress on the facility as soon as possible.
A decision on a planning application for the 20-bed facility was due at the end of May however Offaly County Council has asked for more information before making its decision.
To illustrate the value of the high level palliative care the hospice will provide, North Westmeath and Laois Hospice groups have commissioned a video featuring retired Consultant in Palliative Care for the Midlands, Michael Cushen.
The video also contains testimony from John Shaw, from Raharney, who describes the excellent care his sister received at Milford Hospice in Limerick.
