If given the go ahead it'll be built just outside Tullamore.
A proposed €36m nursing home and step down facility in Offaly could get the go ahead on Thursday.
Offaly County Council are due to make a decision on the four-storey, 244 bed building which would be constructed just off the N52 outside Tullamore.
The application was made in October by John Flanagan Developments at a cost of €38,000.
It's estimated the facility would require more than 250 staff to operate.
PLANS: The design phase is now underway in the €36m development.
