Midlands farmers are being forced to resort to feed they should be using later in the year due to the ongoing dry spell.

They're now facing poorer grass growth, higher feed costs and uncertainty over fodder supplies for the coming months.

Ireland’s farmers remain under significant pressure as the persistent drought is estimated to be costing the sector upwards of €3 million a day.
