Drug convictions in the Midlands are rising faster than anywhere else in the country.
171 people received convictions for drug offences in Tullamore District Court last year, a 180% increase on 2024.
That's the biggest increase in any court nationwide.
Portlaoise is next, with 248 convictions representing a 95% increase on the year previous.
The number of people convicted of drug offences reached 5,440 nationwide.
MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú obtained the figures through freedom of information, and says there's lots of questions to be answered:
