Part of the development in Borris In Ossory will be finished in December of this year.
A social housing initiative in a Laois town is being allocated €2.1m in funding by the Government.
11 houses will be developed on main street in Borris-in-Ossory - 6 of which will be available from December of this year.
It'll consist of 6x 3 bed semi detached houses and 5 x 3 bed detached properties.
