The winner of a €250,000 lotto ticket has come forward.
The Quick Pick ticket in Saturday’s Lotto Plus 2 Draw was bought at Mulligan’s Londis & PO on the Roscommon Road in Athlone.
The winning numbers in the draw were: 03, 18, 24, 34, 35, 42 and the bonus was 31.
The owner of the ticket has made contact with the National Lottery and claims are now being made for them to claim their prize.
The owners of the store where the ticket was sold say the town is 'buzzing with excitement.'
Martin and Mary Mulligan also say they're are delighted to have sold the ticket.
The Athlone shop have been lottery agents since the inception of the Irish lottery 35 years ago.
