Over €300k worth of contraband was seized by officers during searches around the country this week.
€5,000 worth of drugs have been seized by Revenue Officers in Athlone.
254.8 grammes of synthetic cannabinoids were found while officers were examining parcels at a premises in the area.
Separately, 9.3 kgs of herbal cannabis, 72.7 grammes of cannabis resin, 1.8 kgs of cannabis edibles and 5.1 kg of mitragynine were found in Dublin, with a combined value of €319,000.
€15,000 worth of herbal cannabis was also found in Shannon Airport.
The drugs were discovered inside consignments declared as bath towels, pillows, clothing and food, and were discovered in parcels originating from the Netherlands, Spain, USA, Thailand and Indonesia.
