€700,000 Outdoor Events Venue Coming To Laois

The development has been approved by local councillors.

A new outdoor performance space in the heart of Portlaoise will bring an economic boost to the town.

That's according to the Laois County Council, as plans for the new development at the Fort Protector have been approved by local councillors. 

The 1,200 square metre space will become home to a permanent, outdoor events venue, to the value of €700,000

The project will now advance to the design and tender stage, with a view to having development operational by summer 2023.
