
Councillors have written about The Rock National School in Mountmellick to the Department of Education.
The Minister of Education says she'll work to help a Laois school expand its space in order to accommodate a new autism unit classroom.
It comes after local councillors in Portlaoise have complained the Department has not responded to their letter on the issue, which was sent last June.
They're looking to purchase a vacant service station for The Rock National School in Mountmellick, which was instructed to add a new ASD class despite having no space on their site.
