Today will be the final day of the current heatwave with temperatures to reach close to 30 degrees again.
A status orange warning for Westmeath, Longford, Cavan, Monaghan, south Leitrim and Roscommon will run out at 9am, while a status yellow alert for the rest of the country will run until tomorrow morning.
Conditions over the weekend are still to be good, however it won't be as hot as in recent days.
