Independent Candidate Cathal Berry has made it over the line on the 7th count.
A Portarlington candidate has been elected to the 33rd Dail in Kildare South.
Former member of the defence forces Cathal Berry picked up transfers and took the final seat.
The Independent candidate hoovered up votes from eliminated Labour hopeful Mark Wall as well as Fiona McLoughlin Healy - picking up nearly 2,000 transfers between the two of them.
He joins Ceann Comhairle Seán Ó Fearghaíl, Sinn Fein's Particia Ryan from Ballybrittas and Fine Gael's Martin Heydon.
Fianna Fail's Fiona O Loughlin has lost her seat.
