Drop Of 1,000 In Midlands PUP Recipients This Week

The government has paid out over €7.3 billion in PUP to date.

Numbers receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment in the midlands have dropped by almost 1,000 in the last week.

Just over 18,000 people are claiming the income support across the region.

About 300 people in each of the three counties closed their claim in the last week.

In total, 120 million euro is being paid out to 403,000 PUP recipients in Ireland today, a decrease of over 17,600 on last week.
