Flood Threat Persists As Yellow Weather Warnings Loom For Leinster Counties

The warnings will be in place until midnight this evening.

A Status Yellow Rain weather warning comes into effect for Carlow Dublin, Kilkenny, Louth, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow from 9am this morning until midnight tonight.

Motorists are being advised to remain cautious on the roads due to localised flooding and difficult driving conditions.

In Laois, the Leighlin Road at Lanigan's Rock in the south east of the county has been closed since for a number of days due to flooding - diversion are in place.
