Westmeath's Hill of Uisneach and the Birr Telescope in Offaly are included in the funding.
Midlands heritage sites are set to benefit from €350,000 for safeguarding Ireland’s UNESCO Tentative List locations.
The Historic Astronomical Observatories of Ireland, including the Birr Telescope in Offaly and Dunsink Observatory in Dublin, can access the funding under the World Heritage Strategic Investment Fund.
Westmeath's Hill of Uisneach, is also eligible under the World Heritage Properties and Tentative List.
The scheme supports conservation, maintenance, protection and promotion of archaeological and built heritage
Managed by the National Monuments Service, the fund builds on a 2025 pilot that supported nine projects nationwide.
