A Laois secondary school is finally seeing progress on a new building - after years of delays.
Coláiste Íosagáin in Portarlington is included in a Government plan to fastrack the construction progress of nearly 300 school build projects.
The initial green light on planning permission was granted by Offaly County Council in September 2024, with hopes it could now be complete by the end of next year.
It includes a new two and three storey bulding to accomodate 1,300 students.
