The tweets were critical of Laois-Offaly deputy Brian Stanley.
A Sinn Fein TD says there are elected officials in the party to ask members to reconsider tweets.
It stems from the controversy surrounding Brian Stanley, who is spending this week with his family ahead of a statement to the Dáil next week.
Brian Stanley apologised last week for a tweet which glorified violence in the War of Independence and the Troubles.
A tweet from 2017 from Leo Varadkar also emerged - which prompted the Laois-Offaly TD to delete his social media accounts.
Ogra Sinn Féin member, Christine O'Mahony had been visited by a neighbour, and a member of the party asking for her to delete tweets about Deputy Stanley.
Louth TD Darren O'Rourke says this is the way the party operates:
Christine O'Mahony has now left Sinn Féin but says she will continue to canvass for Darren O'Rourke.
However, she says she felt weird about the approach from a party member:
Brian Stanley is due to make a statement to the Dáil on the controversy surrounding his tweets on December 15th.
