Fórsa To Call For More Special Education Supports At Laois Meeting Today

The trade union say that students with a disability registering with support services has jumped 200% in the last decade.

The Fórsa trade union is concerned about the lack of support for students with special education needs in the next stage of their life journey.

The issue's to be raised at Fórsa's Education Division conference in Portlaoise.

Forsa says there's been a consistent year-on-year growth in the number of students with a disability registering with support services in higher education.

It's jumped by over 200 per cent in the last decade.
