The Irish Heart Foundation's Mobile Health Unit is in Portarlington this morning.
Free heart health checks will be available in Laois today.
The Irish Heart Foundation's Mobile Health Unit is making a stop in the county as part of its' drive to offer free heart health checks in communities throughout Ireland.
Checkups offer a chance to have blood pressure and pulse checked in order to screen for early detection of hypertensions, which is a leading cause of cardiovascular disease.
Mobile Health Units will be stationed at the Community Summer Event hosted by the Laois Offaly Regional Literacy Coalition at People’s Park, Link Road, Portarlington, from 11:30am to 3:15pm.
