Fuel Excise Cuts Extended Until September

The fuel tax cuts will be phased out gradually over the next four months until the end of the year.

There's relief for motorists this morning as Ministers are set to extend the current excise reductions on petrol and diesel until September 1st.

It means motorists will continue to benefit from the 32 cent a litre reduction to diesel and 27 cent on petrol for another month. 

The excise cuts will then be phased out over the following four months until the end of the year. 

Farmers say today's measures will make no difference to them.
