The midlands woman passed away last weekend.
The funeral of a midlands woman who was at the centre of a major fundraising campaign will take place this weekend.
Laura Gilmore Anderson, who had been living in Scotland, passed away on Saturday, after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis last month.
She had a stage 4 neuroendocrine tumour in her pancreas.
Over £400,000 was raised through a Go Fund Me Page for the 36-year-old so she could undergo treatment in Mexico.
The money donated will now go towards Laura’s chosen charities.
Her funeral mass will be held in St.Mel’s Cathedral, Longford, on Saturday morning, followed by cremation at 2.30pm in Lakelands Crematorium , Cavan and she asked that mourners wear bright colours.
She is survived by her husband Paul, parents Ann and Brendan, sisters Susan, Aisling, Janette and Nathalie and brothers Andrew and Stephen.
Her husband Paul says she had shown them what an amazing, strong, wonderful, beautiful and courageous woman she was.
He says she was his soul mate and best friend and his pillar of strength during the hardest of days and that she touched the hearts of so many and has been an inspiration for those who need it most.
He says he will be reminded of her beauty in every sunrise, full moon, rainbow and shooting star, all of which you witnessed in your final days and nights.
In a post on social media he also thanked everyone for all the love and support that people showed to Laura during her battle.
