It comes off the back of sustained controversy about the suspension of a Westmeath garda.
The AGSI is calling for a review of the Garda suspension policy ahead of its annual conference.
The campaign follows the re-instating of a Westmeath Garda, who had been suspended for almost four years after giving a bicycle to a pensioner during the pandemic.
170 delegates will attend the meeting in Westport where recruitment and retention of members will be top of the agenda.
They want an independent oversight mechanism put in place to speed up the suspension review process.
