She was last seen in Laois yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí are appealing for information about a missing Laois woman.

Aine Hetherington was last seen yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Clonkeen area of Portlaoise.

The 40 year old is said to have been in a distressed state when last seen.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057-8674100.

Gardaí are thanking the public for their assistance but no further help is required

They are now liasing with the family who wish for privacy at this time.
