Gardaí Clamp Down On Speeding Around Midlands Schools

The warning comes as children return to classrooms.

Midlands gardaí are appealing for motorists to slow down around schools.

A number of fines were handed out for speeding near a primary school in Birr, including one driver travelling at 84 kmph in the 50 km zone.

Inspector in Tullamore, Ollie Baker says there's great excitement around the reopening of schools and they want to avoid any tragedies:
