A number of break-ins were reported in the Mullingar area over the weekend.
Gardaí in Westmeath are warning people to ensure their homes are fully secured and alarmed after a run of eight burglaries in one day in a town in the county.
The break ins took place in the Mullingar area over the weekend.
It appears nothing of value has been taken in the spate of incidents but Gardaí believe they are connected.
Another three burglaries took place in area towards the end of last month.
