Government Needs To Stop Tendering Projects In Bulk

The Offaly businessman feels it's damaging the construction industry.

The Construction Federation of Ireland says it's critical that the government stops tendering projects in bulk.

The group is holding its annual conference today, with regional development and the future of the industry high on the agenda.

Its outgoing president, Tullamore's Dominic Doheny, is criticising the way the government currently issues tendering licenses in bulk to certain contractors.

He feels it's the current scheme is damaging the industry:
