The houses are set to be developed in Athlone.
The local authority in Westmeath is giving the green light to 75 houses in the county.
Applicants Garrycastle Homes Ltd which is trading as Alanna Homes plans to build the development in the townland of Kilnafaddoge in Athlone.
Almost 60 of those houses consist of 2 storey 3 & 4 bedroom, semi-detached and terraced houses.
Plans also include access from Garrycastle roundabout via a new access road to be called Lissywollen Avenue.
Westmeath County Council is approving the build subject to 20 conditions.
