The Christmas Eve post has received a lot of criticism online.
Health Minister Simon Harris is condemning a post on an Offaly parish Facebook page which questioned if IVF is compatible with Catholicism.
The post on the Tullamore Parish page from Christmas Eve has since been deleted.
It led to backlash and criticism online, including from Minister Harris who says the Government will always support couples who struggle with fertility.
He continued to say that in 2020, a new law will be introduced that will regulate IVF and set up regional fertility hubs across the country.
As a Government we will support people with fertility issues - starting with a €2 million plan for Regional Fertility Hubs in 2020 and a new law on assisted human reproduction which will regulate IVF and fund it as part of the Irish public health service https://t.co/61YWkGYpVx
