The June homelessness report is due to be published later today.
New figures on homelessness are expected to be released later today, and they are predicted to show an increase in numbers.
As of June, there were 1,770 families in emergency accommodation, which is 182 more than the previous month.
210 people were without permanent accommodation in the midlands in May - over 60 of those were children.
However, it's important to note these figures do not include those who are sleeping rough.
Wayne Stanley, Executive Director of the Simon Communities of Ireland, is closely monitoring the situation.
