Hopes Midlands' First Dog Park Could Be Open In Time For Summer

Funding has been secured for the new amenity in Mullingar.

It's hoped the midlands first dedicated dog park will be open in time for the summer.

Funding has been secured for the new amenity beside the C Link bridge in Clonmore, Mullingar.

The space - about an acre in size - will offer dog-owners the chance to let their pets off leads and interact with others.

Local Fine Gael councillor Andrew Duncan says it's great news for a project that's been four years in the planning:
