Hospital Parking Charges Rise By Over €10m

In 2021, earnings were €7.39 million, rising to €17.76 million today.

Car parking income from hospitals has risen by over €10 million across the country in the last five years.

In 2021, the earnings stood at €7.39 million - but that's gone up to €17.76 million.

At the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore revenue increased 125% from just under €210,000 in 2021 to €471,000 in 2025. 

The data provided to Sinn Féin by the HSE has been labelled as a "charge on being sick" by the party.
