HSE Advises Six Week Rodent Control Before Proposed Laois Service Station Build

Niall and Ciaran Sheehy have submitted plans for the site on Stradbally's Athy Road.

The HSE is advising applicants seeking to build a service station in Laois to tackle rodents before starting construction.

Niall & Ciaran Sheehy are applying for the site on Stradbally's Athy Road, which includes a canopy, four pumps, EV chargers, a shop, a deli with seating, and a car wash.

While the HSE did not comment on planning matters, they advised that pest control should be carried out for 6 weeks and that it is necessary due to the site's proximity to residential properties

Nearby residents are also filing objections, saying it's an inappropriate location for the development, alongside road safety, environmental protection and anti-social behaviour concerns.

Laois County Council is expected to make its final decision this Thursday.
