Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise is entering into a partnership with Tullamore Hospital.
The HSE is confirming a timeframe for its plans to merge surgical staffing between two Midlands hospitals.
Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise is undertaking a partnership with Tullamore, where staff are being sent to carry out certain operations.
The HSE says the arrangement will be subject to review after a six-month period, after clarification sought by Laois TD Sean Fleming.
