Out-of-Hours GP Services and injury units will be available over the weekend.
The HSE is urging people in the Midlands to plan ahead and consider all available healthcare services over the Bank Holiday weekend.
It's encouraging people to seek timely care for non-emergency health concerns through GP practices, Injury Units, GP Out-of-Hours services and community pharmacies, helping to reduce unnecessary visits to the Emergency Department.
It's also reminding the public that EDs prioritise patients based on the severity of their illness or injury, with those requiring urgent or life-saving treatment seen first, as patients with less urgent conditions may experience longer waiting times.
Out-of-Hours GP Services such as MIDOC for Longford, Offaly and Westmeath will be open 24 hours over the Bank Holiday weekend, while injury units for non-life-threatening injuries like the Regional Hospital Mullingar Minor Injury Unit will be open from 10am-5:30pm.
