The Director of Public Prosecutions is appealing the sentence given to Joe Drennan's killer.
100s of people marched in Laois over the weekend to call for an end to concurrent sentencing.
The event in Camross yesterday follows previous demonstrations in Mountrath and in Limerick as part of the 'Justice for Joe' campaign.
Mountrath Student Joe Drennan was killed in a hit and run incident in October 2023.
His killer was given a six and a half year sentence for the crime, but will only serve the eight years he given for a separate offence.
The Director of Public Prosecutions has since decided to appeal the sentence.
